Underwater Camcorder

This post is dedicated to all who want to buy the new type of underwater camcorder which amazingly works in water and outside of it, so you can use it for two things at the same time. I recently bought a Sanyo Xacti for around 170$ on Amazon and some days ago I tested it. I took some nice videos of the underwater world and then I showed them to my friends and family who were really pleased by them. So if you want to get one, then read on my experience with it first.

That is why I decided to give you a brief review of how this type of camcorders work and what you can expect from it…

The very first thing before buying them is to ask yourself some things like: how much am I ready to spend, what I expect from it, what I will use it for etc… So after you though about this things you are ready to get one for yourself.

Underwater camcorder is definitely one of the most popular technology product for the summer time. You can have fun with it in swimming pool, sea and also outside. So if you are tired of the common ones that do not work in water, you are ready to get one of those.

If you decided to buy one then you should check the features that the one you choose it has, that includes: lenses, size, mega pixels, usability, zoom, memory card, color and very important is the max depth that you can record videos at. When using it you need to be careful on the depth the camcorder works, some work up to 20 feet and others only up to 5 feed like my Sanyo. I think 5 feet is enough, the thing that matters the most is the video quality which is really good for me.

The one that is currently the best selling and most favourite from buyers is Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2, the one I had bought too. I really love the design and color of it which is made from quality materials that makes it waterproof, so you do not need any cases or housings for it. All you have to do is to open it and record, that’s it. For taking photos it has a 8MP digital camera and you can record videos up to 8 hours. The resolution of video is 640×480 which is really amazing.

Also, if you already own a common camcorder and you do not want to spend extra money on others you can still make it work in water with cases and housings made just for it. That is why the underwater cases and underwater camera housings are made for. The only problem is that the price for them is a bit high, that is why I decided to get myself a waterproof camcorder like Sanyo Xacti.
